IPCM PRESENTS FEMALE CREW STAFF ON KARTINI DAY, EMPOWERING EQUALITY AT SEA



JAKARTA (CI-TV)  – PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk (IDX: IPCM) as part of the Pelindo Group which operates in the field of ship pilotage and towing services, has reaffirmed its commitment to the principle of sustainability by launching the “Srikandi Maritim IPCM” program, a strategic initiative that promotes gender equality in the maritime operational sector which coincides with the commemoration of Kartini Day.


This program marks a significant milestone for the company, marking the first time IPCM has actively recruited and empowered female crew members in its tugboat fleet, a role previously dominated by men. This step reflects the company's commitment to building an inclusive workplace while strengthening the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.


Also present at this activity were Chandra Motik, General Chairperson of the Indonesian Women in Maritime Association (WIMA INA), Reini Delfianti, Group Head of Human Resources Management of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), Yandri Trisaputra, Executive General Manager of Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, Agusman Katoroy, Acting Senior Manager of Region 2 Region 2 of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (PT PJM), Muhammad Irfan Rahim, President Director of PT Intan Sejahtera Utama (PT ISMA), Shanti Puruhita, President Director of PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk as well as the Board of Directors and Personnel of PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk.


Shanti Puruhita, President Director of PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk, stated that this initiative is part of the company's transformation to create sustainable long-term value. "The IPCM Maritime Srikandi Program is not just a symbol, but a concrete action by the company to create equal opportunities for women to develop and contribute in strategic sectors. We believe that diversity will strengthen the company's performance and competitiveness," she said.


The launch of this program also aligns with the company's efforts to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in aspects 5, namely gender equality, 8, decent work and economic growth, and 10, reducing inequality. Through this program, IPCM not only promotes women's empowerment but also ensures the creation of equitable employment opportunities, improves human resource competencies, and contributes to inclusive economic development.


The Chairperson of WIMA INA, Chandra Motik, expressed his appreciation for the progressive steps taken by IPCM through the Srikandi Maritim program. "IPCM's steps are a concrete example of how the maritime industry is starting to open wider spaces for women. The presence of Srikandi Maritim not only strengthens gender equality but also proves that women have the competence and resilience to contribute directly in a sector that has been dominated by men. We hope this initiative can inspire other industry players to promote inclusivity and diversity in the Indonesian maritime sector," said Chandra Motik.
